1. Because Idler's Cove Press is a small company, we can only deal with e-mail and query letters prior to possible discussions: Do NOT send a manuscript!

2. We publish one or two titles each year and our resources are committed for the next two years.

3. Idler's Cove Press may not respond to authors for several months. Authors are free to submit query letters (and manuscripts) to other publishers in the course of contacting us.

4. Subjects we are interested in must have "shelf life" of five or more years. We will consider query letters about the following topics: philosophy and interpretations of classical works; history, particularly new interpretations of historical topics; language and military as culture and civilization; again, new interpretations are desired. Authors are encouraged to compare their interests/works with our titles to to gauge compatibility. Books useful as reference materials along these lines are also of interest to us.

5. In general, we are not open to cookbooks, works of fiction, how-to topics and so on, without connection to the aformentioned.
